Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath, visited the Embassy of Nepal in Colombo on August 31, 2026, to express his condolences following the devastating floods in Nepal.
During the visit, Minister Herath met Charge d’Affaires Vijay Kumar Raut at the Embassy premises and signed the Book of Condolences, conveying his sympathy and solidarity with the people of Nepal during this difficult time.
The visit reflected the close and friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Nepal, as well as Sri Lanka’s solidarity with the people of Nepal following the tragic disaster.
